Benjamin J. Hillis joined the firm as an associate attorney with Princenthal, May & Wilson, LLC in 2023 and practices out of both of the firm’s offices (Sandy Springs and LaGrange). Ben’s primary focus is on premises liability; however, his practice areas include motor vehicle collisions, trucking accidents, defective products, and other negligent behavior. Prior to joining Princenthal, May & Wilson, Ben worked for several years at two of Atlanta’s well known boutique defense firms representing large property owners, contractors, corporate entities, and truck drivers. Now, Ben represents individuals against large corporations and their insurers.

Before becoming an attorney, Ben worked for a general contractor and several construction companies in the greater Atlanta area. Ben has worked as a laborer, a carpenter, and a welder in numerous different jobs including commercial and residential properties. During that time, Ben gained substantial insight into the construction industry and its practices. Now, Ben uses his experience to better represent his clients and maximize their recovery.

Ben graduated from Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia before receiving his Juris Doctorate from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia.  Ben is admitted to practice in the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and all the Superior and State Courts within the State of Georgia. He is also admitted to the Federal Bar and practices in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

Ben is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and is a member of the Atlanta Bar. Ben lives in Peachtree City with his wife, Perrian, their two daughters, Olivia and Hannah, and their dog, Molly. Ben is expecting his third child, a boy, next year. In his spare time, Ben enjoys bike riding and hiking with his daughter, Olivia, and is excited to include Hannah and the new baby once they are old enough.
